Biography
Mandy is a retired professor of the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Dalhousie University and a certified speech-language pathologist. Her research has focused on various aspects of cultural and linguistic diversity including bilingualism in children and youth with and without language disorders. She is a long-time proponent of basic income as a poverty elimination strategy, advocating through her roles as chair of Basic Income Nova Scotia and member of Coalition Canada Basic Income-Revenu de Base.
